John Cage’s Variations VII (performance)

2011

It was the Japan premier of the “Variations VII” composed by John Cage. This composition work was made using various kinds of electric waves all over the world. It needed a large amount of updates because the internet and mobile phones have been widely regnant since it was composed by Cage. Mohri contributed visually and musically by making her own electromagnetic wave transmitter and chance operation device that respond to a jellyfish swimming in an aquarium.
